[ARCHIVED] Kid's eBooks Collections

Kids eBooks Collections - NC Kids and Tumble Books

Looking to entertain, educate, and engage your child? Look no further than books! You may be unable to visit our library in-person, but the library is available to you and your child 24/7 with our eBook collections.

NC Kids Digital Library

NC Kids Digital Library contains eBooks, eAudiobooks, eVideos, and Read-Alongs for kids’ pre-K through 12th Grade. Books located under the "Always Available" page are available anytime without a wait list. The North Carolina Public Library Directors Association (NCPLDA) together with OverDrive and the state of North Carolina created the digital resource sharing service. Any person with a valid public library card may borrow materials from this collection.

Please note - NC Kids Digital Library is different from the North Carolina Digital Library (NCDL). While both book collections are hosted on the Overdrive platform and available via Libby, NC Kids Digital Library is built exclusively for children and available to anyone in the State of North Carolina with a valid public library card. NCDL does contain children’s materials, but it is not as robust as NC Kids and not available to all public library patrons.

Tumble Books Library & TumbleMath

Tumble Books Library is a children’s book collection providing animation, sound, music, and narration through a variety of formats: story books, online audio books, interactive games, puzzles, and quizzes. You’ll need to enter your library card to access the collection at home or on the go (your PIN is not required). An additional collection, TumbleMath, is being offered to the community free of charge. It’s a comprehensive collection of math picture books using the TumbleBook format complete with animation and narration.
