The following changes in Town of Southern Pines operations are hereby made effective immediately:
1. Water disconnections will be suspended for the month of March. We appreciate that a majority of our customers are continuing to remain current with their accounts and many have made special effort to learn about on-line and direct withdraw options that we offer. We continue to collect payments submitted to our secure drop-boxes at regular intervals.
Town staff and officials continue to monitor Federal, State and Moore County informational sources. The public’s understanding of, and adherence to, our altered schedules and means of conducting business is appreciated. We recognize many individuals and businesses are facing very real challenges under these difficult circumstances and we are all anxious to return to some form of normalcy. We will continue to update any additional changes in operations to the media and make them available on our website www.southernpines.net in addition to the various Facebook pages specific to a number of Town Departments.
