Notification #2 Regarding State of Emergency and Facility Closings
As information and Federal and State Directive continue to evolve in an effort to avoid community spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Town of Southern Pines announces the following additional changes to standard schedules and operations:
1. Effective Wednesday 03/18/20, ALL Southern Pines Town Offices, with the exception of the lobby at the Police Department, will be closed to the public through March 27th On-line resources, secured drop boxes, and other alternative means of conducting business with the Town will remain available during this period.
2. The Southern Pines Police Department has suspended all civilian fingerprinting through April 15th.
3. The Planning Board Meeting scheduled for Thursday 03/19 has been postponed until further notice.
4. The Town Council Work Session scheduled on 03/23 has been cancelled.
The Town will continue to monitor this evolving situation, and other closings, cancellations, and service changes may follow. Suspension or extension of any and all closings and schedules may be amended as information becomes available.
