The League of Women Voters of Moore County and Southern Pines Public Library will host the State Archives of North Carolina exhibit, “An Absolute Moral Certainty”: The Woman Suffrage Movement in North Carolina on Wednesday, January 29th. The exhibit includes the original copy of the Nineteenth Amendment, usually housed in the State Archives vault, that was sent to North Carolina for ratification in June of 1919. The display will be available for viewing by the public in the library’s multipurpose room from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A special Preschool Stories about voting will take place at 10:30 a.m. for children aged 3-5 and their families.
