Summer Learning Week is happening now at the Library!

The Library and community partners celebrate Summer Learning Week beginning July 9. Over the summer kids can lose a lot of the skills and knowledge they gain over the school year. To keep learning and reading fresh on everyone’s minds, a great activity for summer is to sign up for Summer Reading!

How to register: Stop by the Southern Pines Public Library in person, download the Beanstack App, or visit the website at www.sppl.net.

Reading over the summer helps kids retain and improve their reading skills between school years. Plus, kids who log reading with the Library this summer can win prizes. But kids don’t get to have all the fun! Adults can sign up as well. Everyone can make their vacation reading count by earning prizes and setting a good example for the young readers in their life.

This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories!” and it is all about exploration and outer space. Plenty of upcoming activities for all ages will keep the whole family engaged. For more information and a complete schedule, please visit the events calendar on the website or call the library at 910-692-8235.
