Seven citizens graduated from the 2018-2019 Citizens Academy at the Town Council Meeting on June 11, 2019.
The Town of Southern Pines, in order to expand the community ties between the Town and its citizens, has just completed it's sixth year offering a Citizen’s Academy. The goal of this program is to open conversations and communication and promote collaboration between residents and their government. The schedule covers Town programs, services, policies, procedures and a behind the scenes look at how the government operates.
The schedule for the 2019-2020 Citizens Academy will be announced in the fall.
