Solid waste collection services were temporarily suspended as of Friday evening, January 31, 2026, due to the winter storm. This includes all garbage, recycling, and yard waste, including the route that was planned for Saturday due to the previous weekend's storm. This suspension is necessary since the landfills and recycling facilities that receive Southern Pines' waste are currently closed.
