[ARCHIVED] Report Property Damage from Chantal

Chantal Damage Assessment

We're sharing this important message on behalf of Moore County Public SafetyMoore County is initiating a joint preliminary damage assessment (PDA) to evaluate the extent of damage caused by the recent Tropical Storm Chantal event.

The preliminary damage assessment is conducted by teams made up of City, County, and State personnel who will assess damage to homes, businesses, and public infrastructure.Affected residents are encouraged to report damage to their homes and/or businesses by completing the Property Damage Form at www.moorecountync.gov/

The PDA is a crucial step in determining whether the affected area qualifies for federal and state disaster assistance. The information gathered will be used to support a request for a major disaster declaration. The assessment is to begin on Wednesday July 9, 2025, and will continue for 5 days. Please note that the PDA process does not guarantee federal assistance, but it is a vital step in the recovery process.
