Town Holiday Observances

The Town of Southern Pines observes the following holidays: New Year's Day; Martin Luther King Day; Good Friday; Independence Day; Labor Day; Memorial Day; Thanksgiving Day and the day after; and Christmas (dates of Christmas observance vary).

Town business offices are closed on the dates of the holiday observances.

Emergency services of Police and Fire are always staffed.

Garbage pick-up is rescheduled for another date when the holiday falls on a regular collection day.

Occasionally, library weekend dates are adjusted for holidays.
