Rates
Effective September 1, 2004
Rates, unless otherwise noted, are for Southern Pines residents only. A "resident" of Southern Pines is a person whose permanent, primary home, on which the person pays property taxes, is within the town limits of Southern Pines. Non-Residents pay two times the resident fees listed per item, or may purchase a non-resident membership. The purchase of a non-resident membership allows all immediate family members residing in your home to pay resident rates for programs and activities for one year from date of purchase. (Not to be used with rentals). The cost for this is only $60.00, but it is non-refundable.

Open Gym: $5 per season (ages 15 and under)

REFUND POLICY
If the department cancels a program, class, activity, or facility reservation, a FULL refund will be issued in the form of a check within four (4) weeks.
Once a person or team has registered for a program, class, activity, or league, or has reserved a facility or equipment, NO REFUNDS will be issued to that person or team UNLESS the department receives a request in writing five (5) working days prior to the first scheduled day of the program, class, activity, league action, or reservation.
When an individual registrant has cancelled under certain circumstances that qualify the individual for a refund, the refund will be equal to the amount paid by the registrant, less both a $5.00 administrative fee and any non-refundable deposit. Refunds totaling $10.00 or less will be issued in the form of a credit which is valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance.
When an adult athletic team has canceled under circumstances that qualify the team for a refund, the refund will be 75% of the team's registration fee.
The $20 fee for non-resident team members is not refundable.
If a registrant cancels participation in a trip, a full refund, less both a $5.00 administrative fee and any non-refundable deposits, will be issued if the trip is fully subscribed and the registrant's slot is filled. Otherwise, there will be no refund.
The Recreation and Parks Director will determine refunds in any special circumstances not addressed by this policy.
RECREATION ORDINANCES
§ 32.61 INFORMATION, NOTIFICATION AS TO PARK REGULATIONS; NOTICE OF VIOLATIONS.
(A) All recreation ordinances, rules, and regulations pertaining to citizens and participants will be published in the local papers annually. They shall also be given out to all participants in organized activities or programs sponsored by the town Recreation and Parks Department for one year. From the date of adoption they will be available at the town administration buildings, police station, and Recreation and Parks Department. All citizens or participants that are confronted with a recreation and parks ordinance violation charge shall be issued by hand or mailed all ordinances pertaining to the recreation and parks facilities.
(B) The recreation and Parks Department staff, Fire Department, and town administrators shall have the authority to aid the Police Department, and town administrators shall have the authority to aid the Police Department in informing citizens and supervising facilities in accordance with all ordinances pertaining to recreation and parks.
