The Water and Sewer division maintains piping systems to deliver water to and receive sewage from Town customers. The division installs new service taps and maintains sixteen sewer pump stations. Sewage is delivered through metering stations to the county owned interceptor lines and treated at the county owned wastewater treatment plant. A closed-circuit TV system is used to inspect inside sewer lines and two high pressure (Jet-Rodder) sewer cleaning trucks remove roots, grease, and other obstructions from sewer lines.
If you have a problem with sanitary sewer service causing sewerage to back up in your home and there is a possibility that the problem is in the Town's portion of the lines, you should call the Town first, not a plumber. We will gladly come and correct any problem in the Town's system or let you know if a plumber must be called. Our service is at no charge to you and you may be able to avoid a plumber's service charge. You should call 692-1627 on weekends, holidays and during regular hours.
