Administrative Services

  1. Town Offices Closed--Hurricane Florence

    September 13, 2018 - September 17, 2018

The State of Emergency declared by Mayor David McNeill for the Town of Southern Pines effective at 5 pm September 12th continues until further notice. Town offices and facilities, to include the Library and Recreation and Parks programs, are closed. Emergency responders will continue to work in response to the effects of Hurricane Florence. Residents are asked to remain patient and use sound judgement when traveling the area. Localized flooding, removal of debris, and work on downed power lines will mandate road closures and detours in addition to traffic signals potentially remaining non-functional until power is fully restored. If possible Waste Industries will pick up the Monday route beginning with a two hour delay. Residents may report any new or additional power outages as trees continue to come down to Duke Energy by calling 1-800-419-6356. Blocked roads should be reported by calling the Southern Pines Police Dispatch Center at 910-692-7031.
