    Moore County Residents Only commercial and electronic waste WILL NOT be accepted. However, you may dispose of E-Waste at Moore County Collection Centers. EXAMPLES OF ITEMS TO BE COLLECTED ARE: Paint and paint thinners, furniture strippers & finishing products, solvents & degreasers, wood preservatives, polishes, aerosols, fluorescent light tubes, compact fluorescent bulbs, NiCad batteries, alkaline batteries, lithium batteries, propane cylinders, swimming pool chemicals, used motor oil, antifreeze, gasoline, hydraulic transmission & brake fluid. Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides WILL BE accepted but MUST be in its original containers for identification purposes.

    The Tree Lighting events will be held in Downtown Southern Pines on Saturday, November 22. There will be Christmas Trees displayed along the streets and holiday cheer. Keep an eye out for Santa Claus! He will be available for pictures (please bring your own camera). All festivities will begin at 4:30 pm with the lighting of the Holiday Tree around 6:00 pm. Come out and enjoy beautiful Downtown Southern Pines and visit one of our wonderful restaurants.
