Family Day at the Library will be held all day on Sat., Oct. 22. This month’s theme will celebrate the fun of Halloween. Craft tables will be out all day, a special event “Scary Masks and Spooky Stories” will run from 11:00 a.m. - noon, and families can compete to build the tallest pumpkin tower during a Maker session at 2:00 p.m. Teens are welcome all-day to make books into pumpkins!

Baby Bunnies Storytime, reserved for ages birth to 18 months, will engage parents and children in early literacy practices. Programs will be offered Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Read to Your Bunny Preschool Storytime (all children through age 5) will be held on Wednesdays throughout the year. The focus of these storytimes will be stories, songs, and fun, with a special emphasis on activities to that build skills children need when they enter Kindergarten. Join the storytime from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. and then stay for playtime!

On Thurs., Oct. 27 at 4 p.m., there will be a special program for children and families, when the Library observes Read for the Record. This year, the featured book is The Bear Ate Your Sandwich by Julia Sarcone-Roach. Read for the Record celebrates literacy by trying to break the world record for the number of people reading the same book on the same day.
