Southern Pines Historic Train Station - AOW*

The renovated Historic Southern Pines Train Station includes a passenger waiting area for Amtrak customers, the Southern Pines Welcome Center, and a multi-purpose room that can be used for parties, classes, or meetings (see rates information). The station is located in the heart of Downtown Southern Pines and is a centerpiece for the hub of activitiy that surrounds it. An unusual feature is that the railroad tracks bisect the main street of town.

A wide array of activities is available within this beautifully landscaped 14 acres. Basketball, horseshoes, volleyball, large open fields, and a fitness court are among the amenities that make this a prime location for picnics. A miniature golf range is also available.

A multi-purpose facility located on the Campbell House property ensures that no picnic is ever totally rained out. Plenty of parking and accessibility, a hard wood stage, seating for up to 75 people, and bathroom facilities make this a great facility to complement the grounds.

With its large auditorium and various meeting rooms, this is a popular multi-purpose facility. It boasts a spacious stage and lighting system which complement live entertainment. A small playground is available for the children. Plenty of parking and easy access from Pennsylvania Avenue help make this an inviting facility for parties, meetings, and banquets.

Located in Memorial Park, the Southern Pines Recreation Center opened in February of 2003 and is used for youth and adult athletics, senior programs and youth programs. There is a full size gym and a youth gym with bathrooms.
