SPPL's New Catalog

Users might notice something different about the library’s online catalog!  Referred to as LS2 PAC, the new catalog is more graphic intensive and includes more web-based concepts.  Users may share lists and read reviews, while making the catalog a more collaborative and interactive experience for all.

A popular feature of the new catalog is the Book River, which uses moving jacket images to showcase items.  Simply click on an image to launch the search.  It’s a great way to discover new titles or rediscover old favorites.

Only interested in New York Times Bestsellers or in the library’s most recent additions?  There are now tabs to click on which display those results.

For those not quite ready to face the future, the original online catalog is still available.  Just click on the Classic Search link below the search box on the Book River page or on the Classic Search link at the top of the results page.  Either will take you to the previous version of SPPL’s catalog.

Handouts to help with searching the new LS2 PAC are coming soon.  Until then, please don’t hesitate to ask the staff for assistance.
