Old is New! The History of Bicycles

In 1839, the bicycle was introduced. Handlebars and pedals had been added to an earlier version, thus allowing the rider to propel the bicycle with his/her feet off the ground. Learn about the history behind bicycles while enjoying a ‘Biker’s salad.’ We will make kabobs using unsliced bologna and alternate with olives, pickles and pineapple chunks. Fun begins promptly at 11:30 am. on July 13 at the Douglass Community Center Lounge. Please register by July 6. The cost is $2residents/$4non-residents.
