Will You Help?

The Town of Southern Pines encourages any interested citizen to consider possible service on the Southern Pines Board of Adjustment. Some of the duties of the Board are hearing applications for special use permits and variances, considering questions involving interpretations of the zoning map including disputed district boundary lines and lot lines, or any other matter the Board is required to act upon by Town Ordinances. Appointments are for three year staggered terms and this is a quasi-judicial board.

Any interested individual may read more about this Board in the Southern Pines Code of Ordinances located on the Town’s website. If you are interested you may apply for consideration of appointment by the Southern Pines Town Council by completion of an online application at www.southernpines.net. An application also may be obtained at 125 SE Broad Street, Southern Pines, North Carolina.

The Town encourages community involvement of its citizens and feels the Boards of Council are an exciting way to know your government!
