Peeps Diorama Contest
April 1 - April 30, 2015 

The Friends of the Library are sponsoring the Seventh Annual "Peeps" Diorama and Video Contest. Kids of all ages are welcome to enter! Create a diorama featuring book characters represented by marshmallow chicks and rabbits. The contest ends Thursday, April 30, at 7:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded by age group and for best in show!

Contest Guidelines
Create a diorama depicting a favorite book or scene from literature using those gooey, sugary marshmallow chicks or rabbits and complete an entry form. The winners will be chosen based on the following guidelines:
  • All characters in the scene must be played by Peeps. 
  • Make your diorama using a shoe box or comparably-sized item.
  • Movies or "peep shows" should be no longer than one minute and should be submitted to the Library by uploading the file to a personal YouTube page and emailing the video link to .  View the Library's Peep/Pete the Cat video example for ideas.
  • Limit 1 entry per contestant in each of the diorama and video contests.
  • The contest is open to all ages.
  • Be sure to fill out an entry form.
  • All entries must be received at the Southern Pines Library by 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2015.
  • Entries become the property of the library and may be used for public display. 
  • There will be one winner per category (under 7, 8-12, 13-18, and 19 and older, and video) and each will receive a prize, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.
