Explorations: A Forum for Adults

An ongoing lecture and discussion series for adults, featuring a variety of informative and entertaining speakers and performers who are experts in their field. 
Sunday Film Series
The library offers free screenings of favorite films on select Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm.

Douglass Center Book Club
Attention book lovers! The Douglass Center Book Club meets once per month on Thursday mornings at 10:30 am. Books are provided. For more information call the library at 910-692-8235 or the Douglass Center at 910-692-7376. Douglass Center Book Club Schedule.
Book Club Kits
The library now has Book Club Kits available for checkout. Each kit contains 10 copies of the book and a laminated discussion guide ready to go in a sturdy Friends of the Library tote bag. Kits may be checked out for a six week period to current library cardholders. Check out the current Book Club Kit title list.   

Free Tax Help at the Library
American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) trained volunteers offered tax assistance for middle and low-income seniors in filing their tax returns from February 1st through April 12th, 2017. Tax Help and Information for 2016 Returns.
