The library offers free screenings of favorite films on select Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm.
Douglass Center Book Club
Attention book lovers! The Douglass Center Book Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Douglass Center on Pennsylvania Ave. Books are provided. For more information all the library at 910-692-8235 or the Douglass Center at 910-692-7376.
Book Club Kits
The library now has Book Club Kits available for checkout. Each kit contains 10 copies of the book and a laminated discussion guide ready to go in a sturdy Friends of the Library tote bag. Kits may be checked out for a six week period to current library cardholders. Check out the current Book Club Kit title list.
Free Tax Help at the Library
American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) trained volunteers will be available at the library to assist middle and low-income seniors in filing their tax returns beginning February 2015. Tax help will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Clients must register onsite, and there are no prior appointments by phone. Dates and times will be posted at a later date.
