2014 Summer Reading Program Theme

Readers of all ages will explore all things science this summer as Southern Pines Public Library presents "Fizz, Boom, Read!" during their summer library program. Activities will include science experiments, robot building, space explorations and even sea turtles!

The 2014 Summer Reading Program is open to everyone, from birth through adult, with programs, prizes, storytimes, reading clubs, and more.

Families are invited to join the Library every Thursday night at 5:30 p.m., starting June 12, 2014, for Family Fun Night, and preschool programs will take place every Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.

Check back in May for the complete schedule of events. Registration for "Fizz, Boom, Read!" begins May 30, 2014.

Storytime at the Pool Park
Provided by the Southern Pines Public Library and Southern Pines Recreation & Parks Department.
Date:  June 13 - August 15
Time:  11:30 am
Where:  Participants will meet at the park shelter.

Families are invited to bring a sack lunch and stay to play at the pool after storytime.  An icee truck will be available for cool refreshing snacks.
