The Vial of Life is a program that is designed to provide emergency service personnel with time saving medical information. Participants in this program fill out a form containing critical medical and contact information that can be used in the case of an emergency.
The information is placed in containers that resemble medication bottles. The container is then placed in a standard place in the participant’s home and vehicle. Usually, the refrigerator and glove box are the places that emergency responders will look for the Vial of Life. Stickers are provided to alert emergency responders of the Vial of Life location.
Remember to take your Vial of Life along in case of evacuation during a disaster.
Remember to update your information sheet when medical or contact information changes.
