Meet at Weymouth Woods Visitor Center at 5:30 pm to discover nature by moonlight. Bring your flash light and listen to the sounds of the night. Co-sponsored by Weymouth Woods.
January 22 2016 - Owl Prowl Night Hike
All ages (Children must be accompanied by an adult) 5:30 pm FREE!
Meet at Weymouth Woods Visitor Center to learn about indigenous to the Sandhills region. Hikers will listen as we tempt the owls to call out to us. Hike is followed by hot cocoa. Co-sponsored by Weymouth Woods.
December 4 - Candy Cane Hunt 2015
Ages 4 - 10 (Children must be accompanied by an adult) FREE!
Memorial Park and Southern Pines Recreation Center. Bring the whole family for some outdoor holiday fun. Activities include cookie decoration, crafts, games, photos with Santa, and or course the Candy Cane Hunt complete with prizes.

December 5 - Holiday Parade 2015
All Ages Parade starts at 11:00 am in Downtown Southern Pines Attendance is FREE! Enjoy local marching bands, activities, fun and more at the Holiday Parade held in Downtown Southern Pines. As usual, Santa Claus is sure to make an appearance! The Parade will begin at Vermont and proceed down the west side of Broad St. until it reaches Massachusetts, cross the railroad tracks, and then proceed back down the east side of Broad St. Co-sponsored with the Southern Pines Business Association.
